Pseudomyrmex gracilis

As its name suggests, the Elongate Twig Ant has a long slender, almost wasp-like body, and sometimes nests inside twigs. Luckily they aren’t usually found in large numbers because they can produce a rather painful sting. In the United States the Elongate Twig Ant is only currently known to exist in Texas, Florida, and Hawaii, but Its range extends far south into Argentina and Brazil.
